Improved Email Categorization

Improved Email Categorization

What's New: Categories and Status Labels

We've updated how CustomerIQ organizes your inbox to give you a clearer workflow and better visibility into what needs your attention.

Every email now has both a category and a status label.

  • Categories organize emails by type (Priority, Meeting Updates, FYI, etc.). You can customize these in your Email Assistant settings.
  • Status labels show what action is needed on emails in actionable categories (these are system labels and cannot be customized):
    • Needs Reply - Waiting on your response
    • Awaiting Reply - You've replied, waiting on them
    • Done - No action needed

Status labels update automatically as conversations progress. When you send a reply, the status moves to "Awaiting Reply" or "Done." When you receive a reply, it updates to "Needs Reply" or "Done" based on context.

Why this matters

You can now see exactly what needs your attention by simply filtering any emails that "Needs Reply." Gmail users can view all "Needs Reply" emails across categories in one place by selecting the "Needs Reply" label in their left-side menu.

Outlook users can filter by "Needs Reply" globally or within specific folders.

What you need to do

Nothing. New emails will automatically use the updated system based on your current settings. Watch the demos below to see the workflow in action.
